The acceptance of what he’d done was greatly appreciated. Aaron knew it had been hard for Eric to been refused the small girl, but he was glad Eric understood why. Now that he was healed, and roles reversed, Eric was free to hold the squirmy toddler as much as he pleased.
Though it took her some time, Aaron smiled brightly when Grace informed him of what she and her friend had been up to that day. “Ponies?!” Aaron exclaimed, eyes widening, “What pony did you ride, Gracie?” He leaned forward, pressing a sweet kiss to her forehead before she had a chance to respond to his question.
the enthusiasm shown on aaron’s face was enough to spur her on , little body shifting yet again as her sitting position was traded for that of an unsteady stance , balancing on aaron’s legs as his shoulders helped her balance . ❝ 𝑚𝑦 𝑐𝑜𝑐𝑜 𝑝𝑜𝑛𝑦 ! ❞ to claim it as her own was a little bold , but time && time again , gracie had shown a particular interest in that ONE particular horse . maybe , if it lived long enough , coco really WOULD be hers one day .
quick to step in yet again , eric gently removed gracie’s hand from the shoulder which he could only imagine wasn’t feeling so great , lending his own hand to make her balancing act a little easier . ❝ she did a r e a l l y good job ! sat up straight and everything . would have been GREAT if they’d asked before putting her on the beast of death but whatever , it’s fine ! ❞
