𝓘t didn’t take them long and they reached the end of their running time and Kal slowed to a walking pace to begin relaxing after their workout. He let out an airy chuckle as he raised a brow. “Hey, you asked a question and I answered.” He then extended his hand outwards slightly before tucking his same hand back into his pocket of his sweater. “Don’t worry, you’re one of my friends. You don’t have to worry.”
❝ well , as long as i don’t have to worry . ❞ a small smirk was offered , but kal’s words had been enough to make eric wonder ; were they friends ? did friendship mean the same thing it always had ? if they were back home , would either man have CHOSEN the other as a friend? maybe not , PROBABLY not , but they weren’t home .
friendship WASN’T what it used to be , eric decided , right on the spot . maybe the worlds new version of friendship boiled down to something as small as disliking the same individuals , or enjoying a little cardio . OH WELL , it was better than no friendship at all . ❝ we doin’ this again tomorrow ? ❞
